Job Title: Sales Manager (Marine - electrification and automation)

Role overview:
Drive business growth in the marine and port electrification segment, promoting Siemens Energy’s portfolio of vessel electric propulsion systems, automation, and shore power solutions. The role requires strong techno-commercial acumen, customer engagement, and market development skills to position Siemens Energy as a preferred partner for sustainable maritime solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build deep understanding of Indian maritime ecosystem including commercial vessels, ferries, naval platforms, and inland waterway vessels.
- Track government initiatives such as Maritime India Vision 2030, Harit Nauka guidelines, and port electrification policies to align offerings and build advocacy
- Identify and pursue business opportunities for electric and hybrid propulsion systems, drives, switchboards, PMS/EMS, and automation for all kinds of vessels.
- Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for port and harbor electrification (shore-to-ship power, charging systems, energy storage integration).
- Generate and manage a strong sales funnel covering shipyards, port authorities, design consultants, EPCs, OEMs, and marine system integrators.
- Drive tendering, bid management, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations in coordination with internal functions.
Qualification and experience:
- BE in electrical or Marine Engineering. MBA added advantage.
- 10-12 years of experience in sales or business development within the marine, port, or industrial electrification domain.
- Strong understanding of vessel electrical systems, propulsion drives, automation, and power distribution.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Passionate about sustainable maritime technologies and energy transition in ports and shipping.
- Self-driven, resilient, and able to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
Preference: ex-navy officer, with experience on vessel electrical systems.
