Internship topic: Prototyping of AI-based Tools to Support PLM Software Design and Development. 


What you’ll be doing 

The mission of Siemens Digital Industries Software is to facilitate the digital transformation of industrial companies by providing them with integrated software solutions covering the entire product lifecycle—from design to manufacturing, including simulation, operation, and analysis. 

The GCO (Global Customer Outcomes) department is a strategic entity within Siemens Digital Industries Software, dedicated to bringing value for customers through complex projects, customized software solutions, and operational support for the deployment of our solutions (Teamcenter, Polarion, NX, Capital, etc.) in various fields and activities (space, automotive equipment, aviation). 

To learn more about PLM and Siemens Digital Industries Software: 

As part of the GCO “Global Customer Outcome” team, you will be responsible for designing and developing prototypes using artificial intelligence to improve the software development process and configuration management of the Teamcenter product. 

Here are some examples of expected prototypes: 
  • Intelligent merging tool for Teamcenter workflows from different configuration versions, to facilitate their harmonization and reuse in multi-project or multi-client contexts. 
  • Automated User Stories generation tool from structured content present in Solution Link, to accelerate the formalization of functional and technical requirements in agile projects. 
  • Architecture model generation tool from business functional descriptions. 
To achieve this, you will regularly collaborate with our teams based in Chatillon (Paris), Lyon, and Toulouse. You will also interact with our AI support team based in the United States and India. 


This 3 to 6-month internship is based in Chatillon (92), France and is available from January 2026. 


All about you! 

You are pursuing higher education in engineering (BAC+4 or BAC+5) in France with a focus on software design and development or equivalent. 
  • You have shown strengths in C and C++, languages which are useful for developing Teamcenter extensions (customization)  
  • You are proficient in using artificial intelligence to improve software development productivity. 
  • You have skills in web application development (C#, JavaScript, CSS, REST APIs, etc.) and a good understanding of microservices architectures. 
  • You are autonomous, agile, curious, attentive, and enjoy improving your proposals to gain user onboard in an industrial environment. 
  • Your interpersonal skills and communication abilities, in both French and English, enable you to collaborate effectively within the team. 
  • Ideally, you have knowledge of Python and are familiar with the PLM world, especially Teamcenter.
