What Makes Our Process Different?

What Will Your Day Look Like? 

You’ll be based in Poole, with an expectation of 2–3 days per week in the office to help you learn, connect, and thrive. The role is hybrid, offering flexibility depending on business needs and the nature of the work. 

 

This 12-month internship offers an exciting opportunity to join our IT team and contribute to meaningful digital projects. When you apply, you’ll be considered for a general IT internship and if successful, you will be placed into one of the two roles below depending on where your strengths and interests best align. Our managers will assess which position is the best fit for you, ensuring you get the most out of your experience. 

 

IT Intern: User Engagement 

Your role will include:  

  • Running interactive workshops that make learning fun and practical. 
  • Creating clear, user-friendly guides and resources. 
  • Offering personalised support to help colleagues get the most out of technology. 
  • Gathering feedback and ideas from users to help improve IT solutions. 
  • Developing and delivering AI literacy training sessions to help colleagues understand and effectively utilise AI tools. 

 


IT Intern: Business Partnering  

Your role will include: 

  • Coordinating IT support and solutions that help teams work more effectively. 
  • Listening to users to understand their challenges and spot opportunities to improve or digitise processes. 
  • Suggesting smart, secure tech solutions that follow the latest trends and meet Siemens Information Security standards. 

 

 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Currently working towards or have recently completed a 2:2 degree in Business, Information Technology, or Information Management with Business. 
  • Enjoy working in a people-focused role and be a confident communicator who can explain ideas clearly and listen actively. 
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and experience with AI tools and prompt engineering. 
  • Possess strong multitasking abilities with the capability to manage multiple concurrent projects whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality. 
  • Show curiosity about emerging IT tools/AI technologies and their practical applications in business environments. 
  • Have a logical mindset, a passion for self-learning and research, and enjoy solving problems creatively. 
  • Be confident working independently, taking ownership of tasks, and showing potential to drive and lead change.
