We are looking for Global Category Manager – Customer Services

You’ll make a difference by

  • You will ensure strategic procurement for rail components, specifically for spare parts, and consolidate purchasing activities across locations and projects to achieve optimal global conditions, supported by a well-developed and actively managed supplier portfolio for our Customer Services business.
  • You will conduct complex price and contract negotiations, including eSourcing activities.
  • You will contribute to the product and supplier development process and drive cost reduction initiatives (e.g., standardization, design-to-cost).
  • You will lead a global cross-functional team and strengthen collaboration with interface partners across all Siemens Mobility Business Units.
  • You will prepare and independently execute sourcing decisions based on total cost of ownership (ToCO).
  • Your responsibilities will also include demand and market analysis, contract management, and cost controlling.

Desired Skills:

  • You hold a master’s degree in engineering or business administration.
  • You have extensive experience in strategic procurement, ideally complemented by cross-functional expertise in a related field.
  • You are accustomed to working in international teams and are skilled in modern negotiation techniques.
  • You are confident in presenting both technical and commercial content.
  • You possess in-depth knowledge of contract law and advanced process understanding within supply chain management.
  • You demonstrate strong negotiation, facilitation, and project management skills.
  • You are fluent in English; German language skills are considered an advantage
