With the resources of a large company, and the energy of a software start-up, we have fun together while creating a world class software portfolio. Our culture encourages creativity, welcomes fresh thinking, and focuses on growth, so our people, our business, and our customers can achieve their full potential.
Are you passionate about cloud technologies and love solving complex technical challenges? We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Cloud Operations Support Engineer to join our Managed Cloud Services Team! In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and reliable operation of our cloud infrastructure, supporting our critical applications and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Providing expert support, troubleshooting, and remediation for virtual machines, containers, and cloud-native services across Linux and Windows operating systems within our cloud environments.

- Resource Deployment & Orchestration: Deploying, configuring, and managing cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage, networking components, and platform services.
- Incident & Service Request Resolution: Acting as a Level I/II escalation point for complex incidents and service requests related to our cloud infrastructure and applications, ensuring timely resolution.
- Cloud Projects: Participating in and leading various cloud-focused projects, from new service implementations to infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
- Follow-the-sun and on-call: The position will utilize the follow-the-sun principle so on-call will be largely unnecessary but will exist as a backup for critical issue acknowledgement

- Great communicator: Must be able to communicate well in English, orally and in writing
- Cloud Operations Experience: Must have 3+ years of professional experience in Cloud Operations, Cloud Infrastructure Management, or Systems Administration with a strong focus on cloud platforms. - Enterprise Cloud Management: In-depth knowledge of managing and administering cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) in large-scale, multi-region, enterprise environments. Global experience is highly desirable!
- Virtualization & Cloud Services: Experience with cloud virtualization technologies (e.g., EC2, Azure VMs, Google Compute Engine) and an understanding of how VDI solutions integrate into cloud architectures.
- Cloud Tooling: Familiarity with cloud-native monitoring, logging, and configuration management tools.
- IT Service Management: Solid understanding of ITIL processes, including incident management, problem management, and change control within a cloud context.
- Developer Support: Experience supporting software development teams, with a proven ability to perform problem resolution effectively and timely, meeting defined SLAs and customer expectations.
- Cloud Networking: Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts (e.g., VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers, VPNs) and the ability to diagnose network-related issues within cloud environments.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and prioritization skills to balance daily operational demands with project deadlines.
- Team Player: A collaborative spirit, capable of working effectively in cross-functional and matrixed team environments, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Cloud Storage: Working knowledge of cloud storage solutions (e.g., S3, EBS, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage) and their integration with Linux-based cloud instances.
- Adaptability: The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic cloud landscape, adapting to a wide variety of duties including incident response, project delivery, cloud resource optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Git: Have a working knowledge of Git tools and best practices, with experience in integrating version control into CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and infrastructure management.
Nice to have:
