We are looking for a Supplier Quality Manager for Mechanical processes- Machining (Big Cast iron parts, Forged parts Gears etc.)
We are looking for a person who has experience in manufacturing industry with above processes and flair for SQM function.
In Supplier Quality Management of Siemens Mobility business, we have an open position as regional Supplier Quality Manager for castings and machined castings.
In the role as regional SQM you are a part of our global commodity team and responsible for all the local supplier related topics for our local and global supplies. Our global commodity team is responsible for commodity strategy and its implementation globally.
You’ll make a difference by
- As a Supplier Quality Manager (m/f/d) for SMO RS CP QM you ensure that the quality of supply from our Indian suppliers for machined parts, gears, and joining processes is continuously improved and you bundle the SQM activities in your material field commodity.
- You are a central contact person for development / engineering and a specialist for the development of suppliers for machining (e.g., turning, milling, grinding), gear manufacturing (e.g., hobbling, gear profile grinding, heat treatment, gear measurement), and joining processes (e.g., welding, brazing, adhesive bonding) and their mechanical processing.
- You will carry out supplier audits / process surveys and root cause analyses at suppliers, thus ensuring process and product quality.
- You will support suppliers in the creation of action plans and accompany suppliers in the implementation of performance improvements.
- You will participate in the qualification of suppliers and supplier development.
- You will release FAI/PPAP for casting parts onsite at the supplier before sending it to our locations
- In addition, you will sustainably implement improvement activities and carry out effectiveness checks using independent controlling.
- Furthermore, you will support the reduction of material costs by means of cost and process analysis, you will contribute your own ideas, coordinate superordinate measures and standardize purchased parts where possible.
Desired Skills:
- You have successfully completed a Bachelors / Master's degree in engineering and have Strong technical knowledge in, Precision machining (CNC, grinding, etc.),gear manufacturing (gear cutting, profile grinding, hardening, Nital etching, inspection), Joining technologies (welding, brazing, adhesive bonding)
- We can rely on your experience in quality management, ideally in supplier management or in development or product management.
- You are experienced in the practical application and implementation of supplier audits (VDA 6.3), supplier development, problem-solving processes such as 8D as well as opportunity and risk management processes.
- You are confident in dealing with SAP/R3 and the common MS Office applications. Knowledge of Teamcenter is an advantage, but not a must.
- If you are willing to travel for business purposes (approx. 60 %) and have business fluent English skills, then we look forward to receiving your application.
- Overall experience between 7 to 12 years.
