Role Headline

The Communications Professional will be part of a team responsible for developing and implementing communications activities as defined in the company’s strategic communication plan and enhances brand awareness.

Responsibilities of the Role

• Design of internal and external communication materials (print and digital)
• Management of all social media channels (content creation, scheduling, engagement)
• Monitoring and reporting on social media analytics and performance
• Ensuring brand consistency across all platforms and materials
• Event branding and communications support
• Support for campaign launches (internal and external)
• Contribution to internal culture initiatives through creative content
• Website content management and updates
• Editing and repurposing existing content (images, videos, PowerPoint presentations)
• Video and photography including editing

• Social Media Management: Sprinklr (scheduling, analytics, AI features)
• Collaboration: Microsoft Teams, SharePoint
• Website CMS: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) → transitioning to SmartCMS

• Sprinklr (social media strategy, scheduling & analytics)
• SmartCMS (website content management)
• Brandville (brand guidelines)
• Digital Asset Management (DAM) for storage, tagging & asset governance

Typical Deliverables

• Out-of-home (OOH) content, brochures, posters, invitations, digital banners
• Video content for internal and external audiences
• Concept development for campaigns and social media
• Presentations and communication assets for project and business support

Ongoing Focus Areas

• Daily management of social media channels
• Regular updates to website content and support during CMS migration
• Design and branding support for various business units
• Photography and videography assignments

Collaboration & Stakeholders
Key Internal Collaboration

The role works closely with:
• Local and Global Communications Teams
• Cross-functional business units across Siemens South Africa and the broader region

Recurring Meetings & Communities

As part of ongoing alignment and collaboration, the role participates in:
• Global Social Media Team – weekly meetings
• Local Communications Team – weekly meetings
• AEM/SmartCMS Community – CMS updates, migration, and governance
• Employer Branding & Sustainability Initiatives
• ZANXTLVL Demand Centre – monthly alignment calls
• Campaign Manager Calls – bi-weekly
• Inference Cloud Office Hours – support and knowledge sharing
• ONE Tech Community – cross-regional technology and communication alignment

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree/Diploma in Mutli-Media, or a related field.
• Proven experience in content creation and social media management/ multi-media design and in communications (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
• Experience with website CMS platforms (Adobe Experience Manager/SmartCMS).
• Prior exposure to brand management and digital asset management systems.
• Experience working in a multinational or cross-functional environment advantageous
