Position Overview

Siemens Global Business Services (GBS) is looking for a leader to head our financial operations, ensuring precision, compliance, and strategic support to GBS Argentina. This is a leadership role managing critical financial function, inspiring and developing our finance team.

Our successful leader enjoys coaching and developing a team of highly motivated individuals that provide value-add services to internal stakeholders. Our highly collaborative leader is strongly motivated to proactively engage with colleagues from GBS in other locations, understand requirements and drive process improvements.

Area of Responsibility
  • Lead Financial Operations: Oversee all financial planning, analysis, reporting, and controlling activities for Siemens GBS in Argentina.
  • Ensure Compliance & Governance: Guarantee adherence to Siemens financial policies, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and local Argentine regulations.
  • Drive Efficiency & Innovation: Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and digital transformation within the finance function to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Strategic Partnership: Provide insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations to GBS leadership, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of 5 finance professionals, fostering a collaborative environment of continuous learning and high performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with various internal stakeholders across Siemens business units and global GBS functions to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs), driving accountability and results.
  • Audit Management: Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring transparency and accuracy in all financial disclosures
Experience
  • Required degree: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting.
  • Master's degree or professional certification is a significant plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Strong background in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), controlling, and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience in a shared services or global business services environment is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of Siemens Business structures preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in managing, developing, and motivating a team.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills with a focus on coaching and talent development.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with AI, automation, data analytics or digitalization initiatives within a finance environment preferred
  • Capability to effectively manage deadlines/time, prioritization, in a fast-paced environment. Superior analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a must. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
