Strategy Manager - EAD (Electrification, Automation and Digitalization)
Location: Gurgaon or Mumbai
Reports to: Business Unit head (EAD India)
Role Overview: The Strategy Manager will play a key role in shaping and driving the strategic direction of EAD business in Siemens Energy India Limited.
The role focuses on assessing evolving market dynamics across process industries, identifying growth opportunities, tracking competitive movements, and enabling effective execution of the business unit’s strategic roadmap in close collaboration with global and regional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth market assessments across key segments — Process Industries (Pulp & Paper, Ethanol, Metals, Data Centers), Oil & Gas, Chemicals, and Marine
- Identify macro trends, growth drivers, policy shifts, and signposts shaping each vertical.
- Develop insights on competitors’ strategies, pricing trends, and technology moves to support proactive business positioning.
- Prepare regular market dashboards, intelligence briefs, and opportunity maps for leadership reviews.
- Lead preparation for business reviews, management discussions, and strategic steering meetings.
- Support on business performance, pipeline status, market share, and growth initiatives.
- Drive selected operational initiatives across the Business Unit (e.g., process improvement)
- Manage strong engagement with internal stakeholders (Regional Management, HQ teams, Sales, Engineering Centers) and external partners (customers, industry associations, consultants).
Qualification and experience:
- BE in electrical and automation engineering, MBA as added advantage.
- 10–12 years of experience in sales and strategy function.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-driven mindset, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
