Role description – Regional Compliance Officer (RCO), Lead Country India.

Are you an accomplished compliance executive ready to enhance and oversee a comprehensive compliance programme protecting a €10billion market cap company in regional operations across multiple jurisdictions? Siemens India seeks an experienced Regional Compliance Officer to serve as the senior compliance lead for India. This is a strategic C-suite role requiring demonstrated expertise in building world-class compliance cultures, leading large teams, and influencing executive decision-making at the highest levels of the organisation.

You’ll make an impact by:

*     Being a trusted business partner: Proactively evaluate risks and adapt the CMS[1] in a rapidly changing business environment and newly defined business models. Contribute to success by advising business on content and application of external and internal regulations and resolving ethical dilemma.

*     Safeguarding the Company: Design and implement monitoring mechanisms and mitigation tailored to meet local risk environment, laws and regulations. Support the investigation team, anchor local disciplinary committee meetings, and track implementation of remedial actions. Conduct effective Compliance Review Board meetings with senior leadership and lead reporting to the Board of Directors.

*     Training for Transformation: Promote a culture of ethical decision making across the organization by developing bespoke training, communication and awareness programs. Manage and develop skills, competencies and innovation for the team of compliance professionals reporting to you.

*     Supercharging your Impact: Use new technologies to continuously improve and develop solutions to drive process and cost efficiency. Maintain and build trusted stakeholder relationships (internal and external). Contribute to Collective Action efforts to create a larger societal impact.

*     Embrace the ONE Company Spirit: Collaborate and contribute on projects to deliver compliance value in implementation of global strategy. Collaborate with internal governance functions including Internal Audit, Accounting, Risk Management, and Legal functions to address topics having entity wide impact. Assist global teams in implementing due diligence and workstream activity as part of M&A activity.

This is how you’ll win us over:

*     Education: Master’s degree in auditing, accounting, law, business or related fields. Professional certifications like CIA, CFE, CRM will be an additional advantage.

*     Experience and Skills:

*  Must have 18+ years of experience in audit, risk, compliance, and governance roles in large multi-national companies, including leadership positions in listed entities. This should include at least 7+ years in senior leadership/management positions.

*  Must be an expert in compliance frameworks, risk assessments, mitigation methodologies, and internal controls.

*  Must possess sound leadership experience and know how to motivate and develop teams.

*  Proven impact using data analytics, AI and machine learning will be an added advantage.

*     Ways of Working: Enabling business-oriented solutions without neglecting compliance risk requirements. Ease in navigating complex business and external environments with a proactive approach to learning and applying new techniques to provide solutions. Strong personal values.

*     Language: Strong communication skills, including business-fluent English language skills.
