Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking a Fire Alarm/Life Safety Sales Manager to lead our integrated approach to Fire Alarm and Life Safety across both new construction and service markets. This leadership role requires someone who combines technical fluency in commercial fire alarm systems with a proven ability to build and develop high-performing sales teams. You'll be responsible for driving market expansion through strategic team leadership, cultivating key relationships with electrical/general contractors and end-user accounts, and positioning Siemens' connected building solutions in an increasingly digital landscape. We're looking for a manager who values coaching, understands the technical complexities of both project sales and service agreements, and can translate market opportunities into actionable team strategies that deliver measurable results.
As a Fire Alarm/Life Safety Sales Manager, you will:
- Build and Lead a Technical Sales Team: Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier sales talent with deep knowledge of fire alarm/life safety systems. Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to elevate technical selling capabilities and strategic account management skills across your team.
- Drive Strategic Growth: Develop and execute territory strategies that expand Siemens' footprint in both new construction and service markets. Identify high-value opportunities, guide your team through complex sales cycles, and establish executive-level relationships with key contractors and end-user customers.
- Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration: Promote integrated selling across divisions and geographies. Partner with operations, estimating, and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution from bid development through installation and service delivery.
- Provide Technical and Commercial Oversight: Review proposals and cost estimates to ensure technical accuracy, competitive positioning, and alignment with company objectives. Guide your team in margin setting, resource allocation, and value-based pricing strategies.
- Champion Digitalization and Innovation: Articulate and advance Siemens' digital building strategy, including remote services, IoT integration, and data analytics. Position these capabilities as differentiators in customer conversations and long-term service agreements.
- Forecast and Plan: Develop accurate sales forecasts, contribute to target-setting processes, and participate in long-range planning initiatives. Use market intelligence to refine strategies and improve business impact.
- Represent Siemens in the Market: Maintain active engagement with industry associations and trade organizations. Network internally across Siemens divisions to leverage broader capabilities and share best practices with your team.
- Travel: Occasional overnight travel (approximately 10%) for training, business development, and team support.
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
- 10+ years of sales experience and proven track record within the commercial fire alarm/life safety industry
- Must be able to demonstrate:
- Technical proficiency in commercial Fire Alarm/Life Safety industry
- The ability to interpret job specifications and drawings to coach sellers in developing winning strategies
- Working knowledge and understanding of contracting business with tier of contractors
- Organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering
- Management experience in the construction industry
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM
- NICET Level II Certification in Fire or higher

The pay range for this position is $147,000 - $253,000 annually with a target incentive of 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
