Job Description: Events Manager – Siemens Grid Software

Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to define a new role and transform how Siemens Grid Software approaches events globally. As Events Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of high-impact events that strengthen our brand, engage customers, and inspire employees. From major tradeshows and the annual Grid Software Summit to internal gatherings like Sales Kick-Off and incentive trips, you will shape experiences that set Siemens apart. We are looking for a highly organized, creative professional who thrives in complex organizations, manages demanding stakeholders with confidence, and brings fresh ideas to elevate event engagement.

Key Responsibilities

External Events & Tradeshows
• Coordinate Siemens Grid Software’s participation in major industry tradeshows and exhibitions, ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
• Work closely with the Communications team and Siemens business units to deliver cohesive messaging and impactful booth experiences.
• Drive innovation in event formats and engagement tactics to maximize attendance and lead generation.

Flagship Event Management
• Lead the planning and execution of the annual Grid Software Summit, managing all aspects from venue selection to program design and attendee experience.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create a compelling agenda that showcases Siemens’ thought leadership.

Customer Engagement Events
• Support organization of smaller User Group Meetings and Customer Days to support the regional and product marketing teams
• Deliver foundational event requirements such as venue booking, logistics and internal project management.

Internal Events
• Work closely with our Sales Operations and Enablement team to deliver the annual Sales Kick Off event.
• Support in the organization and delivery of the Sales Incentive Trip, to deliver an unforgettable experience to top sales performers.

Team Working & Collaboration
• Work as an integral part of the Siemens Grid Software Marketing team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing.
• Collaborate closely with the Communications team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all events
• Partner with Regional Marketing Managers for localized execution
• Align with Sales Leadership to deliver customer-focused experiences.
• Build strong relationships with external agencies and vendors to manage logistics and creative elements, ensuring seamless delivery and innovative event solutions.

Required Skills & Competencies
• Proven experience in event management within a B2B or technology-driven environment; energy sector knowledge is a plus.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
• Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and willingness to challenge traditional approaches.
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering flawless execution.
• Willingness to travel globally as required.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.

Success Metrics
• Delivery of events on time, within budget, and exceeding stakeholder expectations.
• Increased engagement and attendance at tradeshows and flagship events.
• Positive feedback from internal teams and external participants.
• Demonstrated innovation in event formats and attendee experience.
