In Egypt, Siemens Mobility is delivering one of the country’s first high-speed rail system. This landmark project, spanning approximately 2,000 kilometers, will connect 60 cities across Egypt, transforming transportation for both passengers and goods. Today, we are recruiting for a Material and Logistics Lead to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What Are My Responsibilities?

  • Supervise and manage storage handling, material management, and logistics activities at the depot in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Administer store inventory, including receipt, issuing, storage, and internal stock transfers.
  • Maintain accurate material records and inventory data using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Prepare regular material, inventory, and logistics reports for management review.
  • Supervise day-to-day material movement operations, ensuring timely and accurate handling of spare parts and consumables.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, availability, and traceability of spare parts required for commissioning and maintenance activities.
  • Oversee store administration, including documentation, workflows, and storage layouts.
  • Supervise store personnel, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and tidiness of storage areas, workshops, and material handling zones.
  • Ensure calibration and proper condition of tools and instruments used within storage and workshop areas.
  • Manage the administration and usage of storage service vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules, regulations, and procedures, and take responsibility for the safety of personnel and equipment under supervision.

What Are My Qualifications?

  • Vocational training or higher qualification with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience working in warehouse, material management, or logistics environments.
  • Basic experience in production or operational areas (LEAN experience is an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, stock control, and material handling processes.
  • Good working knowledge of tools, equipment, and quality control practices.
  • Advanced command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong computer skills, including practical experience with CMMS software.
  • Standard initial and ongoing job-related training.
  • Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention, and First Aid training.
  • Training on Safety Rules, Regulations, and Procedures.
  • CMMS system training.
